Overview & Entity

Intuition Education Australia Pty Ltd (ACN: 114 031 784, ABN: 56 114 031 784) obtains personal data from students, parents, guardians, staff members, and prospective families submitting enquiries.

We are committed to handling all personal information with care, integrity, and strict adherence to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy details our collection practices, operational use, security measures, and your rights regarding the data you share with us.

Personal Data Collected

The data we collect from users and families includes:

  • Identity & Contact Information:

    Full legal name, email addresses, primary and secondary phone numbers, and residential home address. For staff, students, and parents, this also includes account authentication credentials for our learning management portal.

  • Academic Details & Goals:

    Current day school, school year level, enrolled courses and subjects, diagnostic assessment results, homework submission history, and academic aspirations.

  • System Interactions & Technical Logs:

    Device type, browser environment, IP address, portal login timestamps, and system performance metrics captured to ensure system stability and support learning workflows.

How We Use Your Personal Data

We use your personal data exclusively to deliver and enhance our educational services. This includes:

  • Educational Delivery: Scheduling weekly classes, coordinating small-group tutorials, recording diagnostic quiz results, and tracking homework completion in my-i.
  • Parent & Student Communication: Contacting you via your preferred communication channel (SMS, phone, or email) regarding schedule updates, tutorial bookings, and academic milestones. Preferences may be updated at any time.
  • Billing & Finance: Generating and delivering statements, invoices, payment receipts, tuition credits, and refund notices.

How We Disclose Your Personal Data

Strict Non-Disclosure Commitment

Intuition Education does not sell, rent, license, or trade your personal information with external advertising agencies, commercial brokers, or marketing syndicates under any circumstance.

Secure Payment Processor (Stripe)

When you choose to make payments online, essential billing identifiers (full name and email address) are passed securely to our payment provider, Stripe Inc. Credit and debit card credentials are submitted directly to Stripe over TLS encryption and are stored strictly within Stripe's PCI-DSS Level 1 certified environment. Intuition Education does not store full credit card numbers or security codes on our servers.

Governing Law: We only disclose your personal data when required or authorized to do so by applicable Australian federal or state law, or in response to a legally binding subpoena, warrant, or court order.

Cookies & Performance Analytics

We collect information regarding user interactions with our web systems through the use of essential and analytics cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: Required to authenticate users, maintain secure portal sessions, and remember user interface preferences (such as light/dark theme selection).
  • Performance & Diagnostics: We use aggregated diagnostic cookies (including Google Analytics and New Relic) to monitor server response times, track system latency, and identify navigation errors.
  • No Commercial Tracking: Behavioral and analytics data is strictly technical and is NEVER shared with marketing or behavioral advertising platforms.

Data Retention

Academic records and financial history are retained only as long as necessary for educational reference and statutory taxation compliance.
