Role Description

As a tutor you will be responsible for teaching, marking homework, managing student’s progress and working within a broader team to ensure the best outcome for each student.

We highly support growth and merit based advancement. Regularly promoting tutors to teachers, senior tutors to Teaching & Learning Coordinators and Subject Heads. Tutor is the starting point for all of our senior roles.

Minimum requirements for this role are:
  • Have completed the NSW HSC within the last 3 years and performed at a high level in the subjects you wish to tutor
  • Minimum of 6 hours of work per week during school terms, and an extra 3 hours during Term 3
  • Strong communication skills
Key attributes and Responsibilities include:
  • Explaining concepts and theory to students in a manner consistent with Intuition methodology
  • Running tutorials with students to facilitate the correction of homeworks and to ensure students learn from their mistakes
  • Effective marking of homework & providing feedback for student learning & development (in accordance with Intuition & NESA)
  • Supervising student study sessions and running examinations; ensuring students gain the most from their time
  • Communicating, liaising and collaborating with Intu teams and students
  • Guide and assist students through the weekly Intu 3 step cycle; so that every student gets the most value from their enrolment
  • Has an in-depth scope and understanding of the HSC

Assessment Centre

Successful applicants will be invited to attend an assessment centre between mid November and early December. If you are unable to make these times you should mention this in your cover letter.

We may hold extra assessment centres in January.

The assessment centre contains 3 stations:

  • An interview
  • Mock tutoring demo
  • 45 minute knowledge exam

Role Description

Student Services are a team of supervisors that run and coordinate the day to day operations. This is a hybrid role with focus on overseeing daily business operations and administration staff along with managing HR activities.

The key functions of this role entail: reception, administration and student aid. This multifaceted position requires a self-motivated, proactive individual who takes pride in the quality of their work. You need to have a strong desire to learn, grow and progress on a team whose number one priority is the student.

Minimum requirements for this role are:
  • Work at least, two 8 hour shifts per week (full-time also available)
  • Has completed the NSW HSC within the last 10 years (advantageous but not essential)
  • Friendly and motivated individual with a vibrant, hospitable personality
  • Strong sense of team and a high propensity for learning
  • Engaging, & clear communication skills
Key attributes and Responsibilities include:
  • As the first point of contact, you are personable, knowledgeable and professional
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task is a must. An individual who is a team player and keen to learn
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey and motivate.
  • Culture fit is paramount! We have a collaborative team environment
  • Responsible for managing the day to day administrative and operational function
  • Has an in-depth scope and understanding of the HSC and tuition
  • Individual responsibilities will be assigned - Junior HR Level. You will be given ownership of tasks
  • Provide flexible, pro-active support to ensure smooth & efficient daily operations
  • Managing the coordination of the reception desk, including inbound & outbound phone calls

Interview / Discussion

We’ll find out more about you by inviting you to participate in an interview to chat about what the role entails and help assess your communication skills, motivation, suitability and fit.

On the Job Assessment

Provides both parties an opportunity to experience our workplace, team dynamics, suitability and fit before making any long term commitments.

A short trial shift to will be held to evaluate your ability to work on a team, take directions and implement feedback.

Prior to attending your first trial shift you will also need to complete an short assignment that will be used later as part of training.
