Application Process

Our annual recruitment process has begun for 2017/18. Main round applications will close on the 30th of November 2017, however, all application received will be given full consideration until February 2018.

Every year we receive a large number of candidates applying for a very limited number of roles. Before submitting your application please ensure you have read the description, requirements and application process for the position you are applying for. Applicants will be considered on a first come first serve basis.

Roles Available

Role Description

As a tutor you will be responsible for teaching students, marking homework, managing student’s progress and working with others to ensure the best outcome for each student at Intuition.

The minimum requirements for the role are:

  • Have completed the NSW HSC within the last 3 years and performed at a high level in the subjects you wish to tutor;
  • Minimum of 6 hours of work per week during school terms;
  • Strong communication skills.

Step 1 – Online Application

Step 2 – Assessment Centre

If you are successful after the online application you will be invited to attend an assessment centre between mid November and early December. If you are unable to make these times you should mention this in your cover letter. We may hold extra assessment centres in January.

The assessment centre contains 3 stations:

  • An interview;
  • Mock tutoring demo;
  • 45 minute knowledge exam.

Role Description

Student Services are a team of supervisors that run the day to day operations. This is a hybrid role that will focus on overseeing daily business operations and administration staff along with managing HR activities. The key functions of this role entail reception, administration and student aid. A high level of commitment, ability to work under pressure and a strong desire to learn and progress are vital characteristics.

The minimum requirements for the role are:

  • Ability to commit to: Two 8 hour shifts per week;
  • Friendly individual with a vibrant personality and a high propensity for learning;
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine care for the well-being of our students.

Step 1 – Online Application

Step 2 – Interview / Discussion

The interview will be an opportunity for you to show us your abilities as well for us to get to know you better.

Step 3 – On the Job Assessment (Trial Shift)

A trial shift is used to assess the suitability of a candidate and serves as the final stage of our recruitment process. This shift will provide you with an insight into what the role entails. We will also be able to assess how you work as part of a team, take directions and handle contingencies. Prior to attending your trial shift you will also need to complete an assignment.

As positions for this role are highly limited, regular appraisals and assessment during this probationary period will determine the final recipients of the role.

Role Description

We are currently seeking an individual who can join our Resources and Syllabus Development team. We have the utmost commitment to formulating and developing the best resources available.

In this role you will aid in the production of new material, as well as maintaining existing material. You will receive extensive training and ongoing guidance & direction. Your role will involve liaising with NESA as well as cohesively working with a wider Teaching and Learning Team.

In order to be successful in this role, the minimum requirements are:

  • Strong knowledge across the disciplines of Mathematics, Physics and/or Chemistry;
  • Proficient communication skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a large team.

The below mentioned skills are preferred (not prerequisites):

  • Some proficiency in Word, LaTex and HTML;
  • Digital artwork: The production of custom diagrams using tools us as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere
